Established in 1982, Rivertown Inn is one of Minnesota’s first bed and breakfast establishments. Since 1999 Jeff and I have owned, operated and completely renovated (and renovated, and renovated) this beautiful home to share it with the Stillwater community and guests from all over the world. Providing the exquisite backdrop for memories that last lifetimes is what we most cherish. In celebration of this this anniversary, we have a special offer for you below.

Winter months in Stillwater have a special magic. Bike trails are transformed in to cross-country ski trails, Main Street exudes a festive magic with strolling carolers and beautifully decorated windows. Modern-day sleigh rides, wonderful locally-owned restaurants, holiday home tours, a Twinkle Parade for the kids and unique shopping: there is something for everyone far removed from the mall or on-line experience this season. 

Rivertown Inn Gift Certificates are a wonderful way to share the gift of time and connection with those on your list. Our staff will take care of all the details for your holiday party, or that special dinner for two. The fireplaces will keep you warm and the wine will be chilled, we’ll be expecting you. Cooking classes are especially appreciated as we limit our classes to six participants to ensure a hands-on experience.

All classes feature hands-on instruction, plentiful food and wine samplings and take home recipes of the menus from the day. All dietary restrictions are welcome with advanced notice. Class size is limited to 6 participants; classes fill quickly. Plant Forward Meals for the New Year • January 13 & 27 - Quick, healthy and hearty meals that introduces the idea of focusing on vegetables as the centerpiece of  your meals.  

Valentine’s Date Night • February 3 & 10, 4-7pm - Cook an elegant meal to remember with fellow cooking class participants. Then, sit down by the fire with a glass of wine and enjoy your meal together.

Wedge and Wheel's Wine and Cheese Night • December 5, 6:30pm - Have you been to Wedge and Wheel? It’s a Stillwater gem, and their first-ever Wine and Cheese Night will feature indigenous grapes, many with names containing more syllables than you can shake a vine at and often including an "X!" Ice Castles of Stillwater • Winter, 2018 - Ice Castles is the must-see winter wonderland where fairy tales are brought to life with twinkling lights, magnificent archways and towers, ice-carved tunnels, fountains and slides ready to be explored. By day this frozen castle glimmers with glacial blues and after dark the ice formations create a magical glow. For the 2nd year, the Ice Castles will be located in downtown Stillwater in Lowell Park along the riverfront.
